Dr. Tamara Kublashvili graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU), Faculty of Dentistry in 1995. In 2000-2002 she finished the graduate program in orthodontics at the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry. In May of 2002, she passed the American Board of Orthodontics Exam Part I and II. Dr. Tamara attended Dr. Charles H. Tweed International Foundation for Orthodontic Research in Tucson, Arizona in 2002.
Since 2002, she has been practicing orthodontics in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2002 she became an associate professor of the orthodontic department at TSMU. She got a certificate for the qualifying examination for PhD in 2006. She has researched Conventional Cephalometric Radiographs VS. Storage Phosphor Digital Radiographs and has published several articles about this topic.
From 2011-2015 she was a program director of the orthodontic department at TSMU. Since 2019 she has own orthodontic practice “Tamuna Kublashvili Orthodontics”. She is a vice president of the Georgian Orthodontic Association. She is an active member of the World Federation of Orthodontics, and the American Association of Orthodontics. She has been an ambassador of the American Association of Orthodontics in Georgia since 2016.
She has a family and two children.
